Images coming soon!
Whether it's a mirror for your home, or a gift for a friend or relative, my glass pieces will add beauty and color to any decor.  Thoughts of Maine conjure up images like blue/green oceans, lush autumn reds and golds or misty blue, gray and neon green of spring.  If Maine brings to mind vacations and special memories that you'd like to commemorate with a glass box, a fused mirror of a seascape, or a pair of earrings that sparkle that blue of the cold Maine ocean on a hot summer day!

My mirrors are perfect for wedding gifts and can be made to order with color and size preferences.  Please email me at bonnie@heronpointstudio.com with any questions or orders or ideas you would like discuss.  As with any commission order, enough lead time to design and complete the work will need to be considered.

kner's Heron Point Studio looks out upon Maine's Cousins River as it winds to Casco Bay and its 300 islands from which this native Maine artist gathers her seaglass, ceramic chips and crystallized inspirations. The Great Blue Heron nests nearby and snowy white egrets fill the marsh-lined river banks in the Summer, while Canada Geese and New England ducks weather these cold waters in Winter.

Bonnie's art evolves naturally throughout the seasons in this picturesque and cyclic environment: stained glass, pottery, jewelry, calligraphy and water colors pass through her artistic eye and skilled hands as season follows season...interrupted by brief excursions to her island beaches and herbal gardens for her next inspired creations.

Bonnie creates her stained glass pieces using the style of Louis C. Tiffany...a process whereby each piece of glass is individually selected, etched, cut, cleaned, wrapped in a thin strip of copper foil, and then soldered into Bonnie's originally designed forms. The copper foiling eliminates the heavy lead came, used up until Tiffany's invention in the early 1900's, and makes smaller, more detailed shapes possible. This technique also enhances Bonnie's use of seaglass, beach pottery, seashells, and other creative inspirations. The completed work is then washed and polished by hand, wrapped and packaged for prompt UPS shipment.

Each piece is a one-of-a-kind creation that has its own unique story, whether the inlaid ceramic chip from 15 years of "camping" at Great Diamond Island, or the Japanese Maple Leaf from her residence at Shaker Village, each unique work of art is a part of this young artist's soul...and Maine's way of life!

Shipping:  I ship to anywhere in the US and Canada by USPS or UPS.  Each piece is wrapped securely to travel and insured for value.  If you would like to place an order without using Paypal, please contact me.  I accept money orders or bank checks.
