My physical home and glass studio are here in Maine on a tidal river in Casco Bay.I'vebeen fortunate to live most of my life in Maine and to enjoy the beauty of Maine's incomparable coastline with its seasonal colors, countless textures and natural sounds.
I graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a major in Art Education and minor in Ceramics. When the demand for my art work grew I limited my teaching to workshops and private clients throughout Maine; at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Maine Art Education Association, Bowdoin College and Maine Art Glass Studio.
Over many years as art teacher, post-graduate student and artist, I’ve worked in many mediums and have finally found one that speaks to me most: glass. Glass inherently possesses a uniquequality in that natural light enhances and amplifies its beauty. Glass, the simplest of substances, is capable of both transmitting light and refracting light; and each aspect brings its own challenges and characteristics to a finished piece.

January 29, 2009 This is Mona. She is a lamp that came about from a commission I did a few years back. She is a favorite of my youngest niece, Courtney. Mona's eyes tend to follow Courtney around the room, especially when the light is on!
